We aim to collect over 100 history interviews using both audio and video recordings.
Interview farmers and people in farming communities whose memories trace back at least to the 1930s.
Collect stories and artifacts to represent a historical time span that extends from the mid nineteenth century on to the present.
Outcomes
The interviews will be transcribed and processed for archival preservation in both UW Libraries and community-based organizations.
We hope that a statewide project focusing on agriculture that is community-based in its method will help to empower farmers and farming communities in their work toward sustainability and building a better world.
